A 70-inch burlap-faced figure in a frayed dark coat and patched black trousers, with straw spilling out of both cuffs and both pant legs. The head sits under a wide straw hat, the eyes red in the shadow of the brim, and a rope sash ties the waist. It stands on a black cross base, feet flat on the ground.
Arms out, chest wide, 70 inches of it. The shape lands before any detail does, so a kid coming up the block sees the outline under the hat and slows down at the end of the walk.
