Sound-activated, plug-in, 72 inches

Six feet of witch, reading her spellbook by the walkway

A 72-inch animated witch, hunched forward, an open spellbook in one hand and a clawed hand reaching out toward whoever walks up. She is sound-activated: the kids get close, she moves and the sound kicks in, red eyes lit, the two potion bottles at her belt glowing. Put her on the lawn by the walkway or at the bottom of the porch steps, within cord reach of an outlet.

The face does the work

Molded wrinkled green face, an open-mouth grin with teeth in it, and eyes that light red. Long gray hair hangs out from under a proper pointed hat with a band. Storybook witch, slightly scary, which means the six-year-olds squeal and still come back for the candy.

Layered costume, not a printed robe

Black robe with shredded gray sleeves, a gray sash, and a floor-length skirt of torn gauze layered over black fabric, so it runs to the ground and covers whatever is holding her up. The open book in one hand and the two glowing bottles at her belt give people something to point at from the sidewalk.

Plug her in and forget the batteries

Runs on 120V, so it is one extension cord to the porch outlet and she is on for the night. Sound-activated, so she fires when a group walks up talking instead of cycling on a loop all night. Park her within cord reach of the walkway, facing the street.

Ravenmoor Witch Animatronic, closer in

Motorized, plug-in, built for outdoors

Halloween night, then back in the tote

The porch light goes on, the first group comes up the walk, and the witch starts moving on the lawn, book open, bottles glowing. That is the whole job. On November 1st she unplugs and packs flat into the tote until next October. Delivery is 5 to 7 days, 3 to 4 if you pick express.

How tall is she?

72 inches, six feet, hunched forward over the book — so she reads at adult height from the walkway.

What lights up?

The eyes light red and the two potion bottles at her belt glow, so people have something to point at from the sidewalk without you aiming a fixture at her.

Does she need batteries?

No. She runs on 120V, so it is one extension cord to the porch outlet and she is on for the night.

Where should she go?

On the lawn by the walkway or at the bottom of the porch steps, facing the street and within cord reach of an outlet.

Does the stand show?

No. The floor-length skirt of torn gauze layered over black fabric runs to the ground and covers whatever is holding her up.

Is she too scary for young kids?

She is a storybook witch: molded green face, open-mouth grin, proper pointed hat. The six-year-olds squeal and still come back for the candy.

Cauldron scene made easy

Paired her with a fog machine low in the cauldron. One piece did the work of a whole scene.

Solid, wire the hands

Hands are poseable but soft — a twist of floral wire inside the sleeves and she holds the ladle right.
