Six feet tall, outdoor, front-lawn prop

The reaper that reads from the sidewalk

A six-foot hooded figure in layered gray-blue gauze, frayed at every edge, with a molded skull, amber eyes and a ribcage showing through the open robe. The shroud trails long past the hem and drifts with the wind. Put it at the front edge of the lawn, where the porch light gives out and the sidewalk starts.

Six feet of silhouette

At 6 feet the figure stands about adult height, so the shape holds from across the street instead of getting lost in the shrubs. It sets the scale for everything else in the yard.

Layered gauze, frayed on purpose

The robe is stacked panels of open-weave cloth, torn along the hem instead of stitched flat. Wind moves through it rather than pushing against it, so the figure never reads like a costume on a pole.

Made for outdoor display

This one is meant to stand outside for the season: driveway edge, walkway, the dark side of the porch. Give it firm footing and let it hold the front of the yard.

Six feet, outdoor, front lawn

One night out front, the rest of the year put away

On Halloween night it works the whole street, the tall shape people pick out well before they reach the driveway. When the season ends it comes off the lawn in one piece and waits for next October. Standard shipping runs 5 to 7 days, express 3 to 4.

How tall is it?

Six feet, about adult height, so the shape holds from across the street instead of getting lost in the shrubs.

What is the robe made of?

Stacked panels of open-weave gauze, torn along the hem instead of stitched flat, so wind moves through it rather than pushing against it.

Where should it stand?

At the front edge of the lawn, the driveway edge, the walkway, or the dark side of the porch. Give it firm footing.

What does it look like after dark?

Mostly silhouette. Six feet of layered gauze against a dark yard is the shape people sort out first, from the sidewalk rather than the porch.

Can it stay outside for the season?

It is meant to stand outside through the season rather than come in every night.

How does it store?

It comes off the lawn in one piece at the end of the season and waits for next October.
