How tall is it, really?

Six and a half feet is the standing height with the arms and head in a neutral pose. Since both are poseable, reaching further out or up can push the actual footprint past that -- measure the spot before you decide on a pose.

What actually lights up?

The carved head and the smaller pumpkins woven down the vine body all glow together on one switch -- there's no separate zone or remote to manage.

Does it move or make sound?

No. This one is light only -- no motion sensor, no app, no recorded sound and no live voice mode. You pose the arms and head by hand when you set it up, then it holds still. If you want something that reacts to people walking by, that's a different animatronic in the collection.

How do you pose it?

The arms and the head bend at built-in joints -- angle them by hand before you plug it in, the same way you'd shape a wire garland. Once it's up, it holds whatever pose you leave it in.

What does setup take?

One person, about twenty minutes. It's light enough to stand and pose on your own -- no ladder, no second pair of hands required.

Batteries or wall outlet?

It plugs into a standard wall outlet with the included adapter -- no batteries. The adapter also runs the timer, so pick your spot with the nearest outlet in mind.

Indoor or outdoor?

Both. It's built to stand on a lawn or a porch, and just as many people keep theirs in an entryway or a covered spot by the door.

How does it store?

It's light, under 20 pounds, and the vines flex, so most people just stand it in a corner of a closet or garage between seasons rather than breaking it down.

The glow looks like it's coming from inside the pumpkins

It's not a light aimed at it, the pumpkins actually glow like they're lit from the inside. From the sidewalk you can't tell where the bulb even is.

Posed the arms once and it just stayed

Bent one arm out over the walkway and turned the head toward the street. It held the pose through wind and two weeks of rain, no sagging.

One person really can set this up

I was ready to wait for my husband to get home. Had it standing and plugged in by myself in about twenty minutes. Only ding: the instructions for posing the head could use a diagram.

Bigger presence than the box suggests

At 6.5 ft I expected something that would get lost next to the porch columns. It doesn't. The vines fill the space and the head sits right at eye level with anyone walking up.

Works great just inside the door too

Kept ours in the entryway instead of the yard -- cord reaches the nearest outlet fine and the timer means we never remember to turn it off ourselves.

Timer does exactly what it says

Six on, eighteen off, no app, nothing to set up beyond plugging it in. It's been running itself since the day we put it up.

Second week up and the vines still hold their pose

Was worried the arms would droop after a few days outside. They haven't moved an inch since we posed them the first night.

Loose joint out of the box, easy fix

One of the shoulder joints was looser than the others and the head kept drifting down after posing. Snugged the joint with a wrench and it's held fine since. Wish it had come tightened right, but it's a five-minute fix and I'd still buy it again.
