Static, indoor windows, slightly scary
Flat black spider and cobweb silhouettes that go on the inside of the glass: single large bodies for the pane by the door, clusters of small ones for scatter, and web corners. Put them on the window by the door, the storm door, the sidelight beside the entry, and they read as shapes against a lit room, not as stickers.
This is the stretch trick-or-treaters actually stand in, close enough to read detail on the glass. A big body on the pane by the door and small ones trailing across the sidelight do work your yard props cannot at that distance.
The silhouettes go on from indoors and come back off the glass at the end of the night, so a rental entry stays a rental entry. Do the whole doorway in one pass before the porch light goes on.
Large single spiders, scatter clusters and web corners in the same set, so you can build a line that runs toward the handle instead of stamping one shape. Applied to the inside face, the storm door pane counts as one more canvas.

On the night, the entry is the one part of the display anyone sees up close, and this is what carries it. In November they come back off the glass and the doorway goes back to being a doorway, with nothing to patch or repaint. Order by mid-October: standard delivery runs 5 to 7 days, express 3 to 4.
