Static, 20 inches, hangs on the door
A 20-inch mesh wreath done up as a witch who never quite made it through the door: purple spiderweb hat up top, striped legs and pointy black boots dangling off the bottom, three orange pumpkins and a checkered BOO sign in the middle. It doesn't move or make a sound. It hangs on the front door or the covered porch and lets the kids work out where the rest of her went.
Everything else in the yard gets seen from the sidewalk. This one is at the door, at kid height, and it's what they're staring at for the few seconds it takes you to answer the bell.
Black mesh and black leaves underneath, then ribbon on top in purple polka dot, lime skulls, orange chevron and black-and-white check. It's busy on purpose, so it doesn't vanish into a dark door at dusk.
