Wait, is this rug actually 3D?

The depth is all in the print — a fixed optical illusion design, not a raised surface or real physical depth. Stare at it right and the checkerboard genuinely looks like it's falling away under the skull. It's completely static: no lights, no motor, no sensor, just very deliberate ink.

What sizes does the Marigrave come in?

Seven diameters: 16 in / 40 cm, 20 in / 50 cm, 24 in / 60 cm, 32 in / 80 cm, 40 in / 100 cm, 47 in / 120 cm, and 55 in / 140 cm. All are 0.19 in / 0.5 cm thick, so it sits flush under doors.

How do I clean it?

Vacuum it like any other rug for regular upkeep. For spot cleaning, a mild detergent and a damp cloth handles it. It's not machine washable — don't throw it in with the laundry.

Does it slide around on hardwood or tile?

No — the underside is a dot-textured rubber backing built to grip smooth floors, and the edge is locked so it won't curl up at the corners over time.

Can I put this on the porch or a covered patio?

It's built for indoor use. We haven't tested it against weather, so keep the abyss inside where it belongs.

How fast does it ship?

5-7 business days standard, 3-4 on express, shipped from our US supplier.

Can I get a mix of different skull designs in one order?

Not within a single listing — each design, Marigrave included, is its own product with its own pack sizes. Add multiples of different designs to your cart separately if you want a mixed set on the floor.

If I order the 4-pack, are all four rugs the same design?

Yes — every rug in a pack is this exact Marigrave design, just multiplied. It's built for stocking multiple rooms, or gifting, with one stare, not for mixing patterns.

Front door showstopper

I bought the 4-pack ($139) to put one at my front door and give the rest as gifts to my sister and two friends who love Halloween as much as I do. The sugar-skull face surrounded by that orange and purple rose crown genuinely looks 3D from the porch — my neighbor swore it was raised until she bent down and touched it. It's held up great on our tile entryway too, the rubber dots on the back keep it from sliding every time the door swings open. Already planning to grab the 8-pack next year so the whole block matches.

Halloween party MVP

Got the 8-pack for our annual Halloween party and set them all around the house as little photo-op stations — the tiny pumpkins tucked around the skull and the black, white and gray checkerboard base with the starry flecks look incredible under our string lights in the front rooms. Even after three weekends of setup, teardown, and storage, the edges haven't frayed or curled at all. My wife now wants one in the dining room for the whole season instead of just party night. Worth every penny of the $199.

Gorgeous, just a touch duller than the photos

Ordered the 2-pack for our living room and hallway and the design itself is stunning — the purple and orange roses crowning the skull really pop against the grey checkerboard. My only gripe is the colors read a little more muted in person than in the product photos, not quite as neon as I expected. It didn't stop me from loving it though, and it's the first thing every guest mentions when they walk in. The quilted texture underfoot is a nice surprise too.

Cool design, wish it felt sturdier

Bought the 4-pack to spread through the house for the season, and the artwork is genuinely cool — my kids keep asking why the skull 'pops out' of the floor. But at about 0.19 inches thick it's thinner than I pictured, so it doesn't feel as plush as our other rugs. After a couple weeks of regular vacuuming, a few of the rubber dots on the underside started peeling up at one edge in the hallway. Still, for a design nobody else has, I already reordered another 4-pack for the guest room and garage entry.

Trunk-or-Treat hit, one small cleanup

We used four rugs from the 8-pack to line our entryway and front hallway for trick-or-treaters and party guests all night, and other parents kept asking where we got them when they came in to grab their kids. After a kid dropped a juice box on one, I spot-cleaned it with mild dish soap and a damp cloth like the care instructions say, and it came out fine, just took a little extra scrubbing on the white part of the checkerboard. Nothing a bit of elbow grease couldn't fix. Ordering the 4-pack next for the playroom since these clearly aren't going anywhere.

Beautiful skull, but slides on tile

The design is easily one of the coolest Halloween pieces I own — the roses and little pumpkins around the skull look like something out of a tattoo shop. Unfortunately I put both rugs from the 2-pack on our tile kitchen floor and the non-slip dots on the back just don't grip tile the way I hoped; they slide a couple inches whenever someone walks by quickly. I ended up moving them to the carpeted den where they stay put fine. Knocking off points because the spot I actually wanted them for doesn't really work.

Kids are obsessed with the 3D skull

Bought the 4-pack for my daughters' playroom and they are completely fascinated by it — my youngest keeps trying to 'pick up' the skull thinking it's sitting on top of the floor. The purple and orange roses and the little pumpkins scattered around make it feel spooky but not scary, exactly what I wanted for a 7 and 9 year old's room. It's soft enough underfoot that they sit right on it to play, and after a month of daily use it still looks brand new.

Great shop display, just dusts fast

We put two rugs from the 8-pack at the entrance of our seasonal pop-up shop and they get compliments constantly — the checkerboard-and-stardust base makes the skull look like it's floating. Only complaint is that with all the foot traffic they show dust and shoe prints faster than I expected, so we're vacuuming them daily to keep them looking sharp. Once we stayed on top of that it wasn't an issue at all. Already planning to order a couple more for our second location.
