Neighbors started asking where we got him

Put him up the first weekend of the month and by the third day people were stopping to take photos on their evening walk.

Third one I have owned, first with a face

The other two were flat plastic skulls. This one has real depth in the sutures and the open jaw reads as open, not painted on.

Lived on the porch all month

We put them on the covered porch on the first and left them there the whole month, roof over both of them. The porch also hides the adapter, which is the part I did not think about ahead of time.

Softer than it looks in photos

The raised ghost texture had me expecting something scratchy but it's plush both ways. My kid claimed it off the couch within a day.

Neighbors keep asking where we got it

Placed the 32 inch right where trick-or-treaters step up to our door and had at least four different parents ask me for the link this year. The non-slip backing kept it totally in place even with dozens of kids stepping on and off it in one night. Cleaning is just a quick vacuum and a wipe with a damp cloth after a candy wrapper got stuck to it.

Bigger presence than the box suggests

At 6.5 ft I expected something that would get lost next to the porch columns. It doesn't. The vines fill the space and the head sits right at eye level with anyone walking up.

My sister actually screamed at the top of the stairs

We laid it at the top of the basement stairs where the lighting is dim, and my sister let out a real scream the first time she saw it, which is exactly the reaction we wanted. The purple, green and orange checkerboard behind the spider is way more vivid in person than I expected, and it hasn't slid an inch on our hardwood thanks to the rubber dots on the back. Already eyeing another design from the collection for the upstairs hallway.

Turned our block party into a photo op

Bought the 4-pack, laid two down the front walkway and two by the garage door for our street's block party. A few neighbors pulled out their phones to film people doing a double take at the checkerboard floor - from a few feet away it really does look 3D. Vacuumed the dust off after the party and it came right back to looking new.

Quality past the price

Fabric layers instead of one printed sheet. It moves in a breeze and looks alive. Best per-dollar piece in my yard.

Coworkers noticed on video calls

I work from home and put the 40in size right behind my desk chair as a backdrop for Zoom calls all month. Half my team has asked about it, and one coworker admitted the hands genuinely creeped her out through the screen. The quilted surface feels sturdy too, not like the flimsy stuff from seasonal pop-up stores.

Perfect under the pumpkin display and drink table

Used the 4-pack in 24in as mats under our pumpkin display and the drinks station at our Halloween party. Someone knocked over a full cup of red punch on one and a damp rag with a little dish soap took it right out, no staining. Already packed them away for next year instead of tossing them like the party-store stuff we used before.

Bigger than I expected

Covers the whole couch cushion, not a little lap blanket like some of these. The print is crisp up close too, not blurry or washed out like I worried from photos.

Out of the box and up in ten minutes

I have bought decorations that needed a diagram and a second person. This one came already put together. I stuck the eyes on, dropped in the batteries and threw the rope over the porch beam. Ten minutes, and most of that was me deciding on the height.

The stains sell it

Up close the straw has this dark spatter across it that you cannot really see in the pictures. It stops it looking like a craft store prop. Under the green light it reads a lot nastier than I expected for the money.

Perfect for the garage photo booth

We turned our garage into a photo corner for the kids' Halloween party and needed something on the painted concrete that wouldn't slide with twenty costumed kids running around. The non-slip dots on the back kept it completely in place all night, and it's thin enough that nobody tripped stepping on or off it. The rising skeleton print photographed great in the background of every picture, way better than the plain tablecloth we used last year.

Bought one, came back for two more

One looked good but a little lonely next to the porch. Three down the path is the version I should have bought first - the light carries the whole way to the door instead of marking a single spot. Wish I had just started with the set.

The lights read from down the block

We are on a corner lot and neighbors two streets over have mentioned seeing it lit up at night. The color-changing LEDs on the head carry a lot farther than I expected for something battery-free.

Packs down smaller than I expected

The tray she folds back into is not much bigger than a suitcase. Whole thing lives on a garage shelf now instead of a giant box.

The unsexy essential

Nobody sees it. Everything stands because of it. The drive handle alone is worth it in packed soil.

Up in under ten minutes

Unzipped it, staked the base, plugged in the adapter, and it was standing before I'd finished setting up the rest of the yard.

The cloth strips make it

Didn't expect to spend twenty minutes just arranging the wraps, but that's the fun part — every strip you leave loose moves in the wind for free. No two nights look the same.

The shadows on the garage door surprised me

Didn't expect the cutouts to actually throw shapes on anything, I bought it for the cascade of lights. Planted one near the garage and the bat and moon shapes show up on the door once it's dark out.

Snapped together in about ten minutes

No tools, no instructions manual needed really, the pieces only fit one way. Took longer to dig the little trench for the base than to assemble the thing itself.

Cauldron scene made easy

Paired her with a fog machine low in the cauldron. One piece did the work of a whole scene.
