Set the 2-pack at the base of our stairs and our dog genuinely walks around it like it's a real object, which cracks up everyone who visits. I ordered the 20 inch size expecting it to fill more of my hallway, and honestly it read bigger in the listing photos than it does in person, so I was disappointed at first. Instead of returning it I moved it to our half bath by the sink, and it actually works better there — the orange, green, and purple checkerboard suits the small space more than a big hallway runner would have anyway. I've already ordered the 47 inch for the living room now that I know the scale in person, just wish I'd sized up the first time.
